Fear and Vulnerability

Every time I get ready to record and post one of my Monday video
blogs, or write one of my weekly articles for a local newsletter,
or get in front of a group of people to lecture or give a speech,
I get scared.  I get REALLY scared.

All kinds of thoughts swirl through my
head to grip me tighter in that fear.  “What if
I don’t sound smart?  What if someone thinks
what I have to say is stupid or no good? Who
am I to tell other people how to live or what
to do, be, or focus on?”

In this week’s Vlog, I want to illustrate something
that I really believe keeps us ALL from doing and
being our greatest selves: FEAR.

Click below to watch this week’s Vlog to
discover how to push through that fear
in order to create the success and joy you are looking
for in life.

The truth is, NONE of us have it all together.  ALL
of us are afraid, unsure, and scared to death that
we aren’t good enough.

And the very thing that creates a sense of “good
enough, and worthy enough,” is to feel that fear
and do it anyway.

Put yourself out there regardless of who says or thinks
whatever they want to say or think, because none of that
criticism matters if it’s coming from people who aren’t also
putting themselves out there.

“…the man who really counts in the world is the doer, not the mere critic-the man who actually does the work, even if roughly and imperfectly, not the man who only talks or writes about how it ought to be done.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Your success and joy comes from the willingness to be vulnerable,
take risks, feel uncertain and be emotionally open.

It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.

What People Are Saying:

Coaching with Edie has been a very positive and motivating experience for me.  Things I kept putting off became my focus, I took action, and accomplished them very quickly with just her asking the RIGHT questions.  I have written down my goals - something I normally don't like to do - and I am seeing my goals being met on a weekly and monthly basis.  When I didn't meet a specific goal I had for the week, she completely took a positive side and we moved forward for the next week.  I knew what I wanted in my life, I just wasn't focusing or putting it to action like I am now.  Thank you Edie for your support, positive influence and the nudges from behind!

Edie really helped me gain a lot of insight into my professional and personal life. It was an eye-opening experience. I look forward to achieving some of the goals that we talked about, and I am confident that I will achieve them with Edie's support and guidance.
