Help Others. It Helps You, Too.
If you help your neighbor mow her lawn, obviously it’s
good for her. But did you know that it’s likely good for you too?
Research shows that people who consistently help other people
experience less depression, greater calm, fewer pains and better
health.
Random acts of coolness can remind you that you’re
relatively lucky, make you feel connected to others, and can take
your mind off your own worries for a little while.
Here’s a short video of something cool my good friend, Jana, has
started here, locally, to help others in our community. It’s a fun
video to watch, but I would love it if it also inspires you to
come up with some ideas of your own on how you
can help others.
Helping doesn’t have to be a huge time commitment or organized
effort – although it’s awesome if you can do that. Helping others
can be as simple as calling a friend to see how she’s doing,
letting a car out in front of you, holding the door open for
someone, or walking your neighbor’s dog when they aren’t feeling
well.

for donations” movement, you can check her out here.
Thanks for watching!
